.. SUBJECT: Beta Scanners .. I am interested in hearing first-hand comments from investigators who are using any of a number of beta scanners on the market. I know of machines made by Betagen, Bioscan, Ambis, Berthold, and I think there is another made by a company call Raytest. It would be most helpful to know something of the strengths, weaknesses, etc. of these machines from the researcher's perspective, as they are quite expensive, and it is very difficult for any one person to acquire first-hand experience with all -- or even several -- of them.
