From: Dave Farber <farber@udel-ee.arpa> I am told that the sales of software are dropping off rather considerably. I can think of many reasons for this such as saturation, etc. However there is another possible reason that is-- I have never been so discouaged about the quality of the software I have purchased as I have recently. Clearly I expect a minimum when I pay $50 and a whole lot when I pay $600. Indeed the quality of current PC software bears little relationship to the asked price. If I was buying anything else, often I would return such functionally defective mechandise to the store and get my money back. While I try to stay away from copying software, I for one am sick of throwing money away then to find out I was ripped off. That just encourages people to copy. Dave
