I posted this message a few days ago on probably the wrong bboard, because I got no reply, so I am posting it on this one. I would like to find out how much discount off the catalogue prices do people get from MERCK and SIGMA for chemicals. I am trying to negotiate a standing purchasing discount with them, and feel the prices we are getting are outrageously high. According to the local sales agents, the prices they got are much higher than in the US and Europe (not including shipping and handling). I feel the third world scientists are being squeezed unfairly. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
