[bionet.molbio.methds-reagnts] PCR primer sequence collection

ccy@po.CWRU.Edu (Cheung C. Yue) (04/24/91)

I would like to systematically look at expression of a number
of cytokines/growth factors and their receptors in cell lines
derived from human and rodent sources. I would therefore
appreciate contributions from readers as to 1) contacts for cDNA
probes, and 2) tested PCR primer sequences (together with citation
if available) for cytokines, cytokine receptors, growth factors,
and growth factor receptors.

I know how to search Genbank and EMBL databases, and I know of
the primer sets for human cytokines from Clontech. The reason
I am trying to avoid the former is because of the absence of
mail addresses in those databases, and the reason I definitely
want to avoid the latter option is because of money (what else?).

Since I suspect such a database (small though it may be) could
be of use to others, I *_promise_* to post a follow-up (and
probabily with periodic updates) to this news group all that
I have found out.

If you could possibly spare me a few minutes of your time in
reaching into your file cabinet to dig up a couple of references
that you know of, I will pay you back by compiling a comprehensive
list of this data. Please do drop me a line at ccy@po.cwru.edu
(Internet) or ccy%po.cwru.edu@cunyvm.bitnet.
