Well, my wife and I moved in early January to a larger apartment and our fish haven't been the same since. To begin with, we have a 20 gallon tank with 2 small (1"-2") fancy goldfish, and a small 5 gallon with 1 tiny goldfish. All fish were happy and healthy until the move, and then... One of the "larger" fish developed sores all over one side of its body. We placed it into our hospital tank and medicated it with Sulfa and it healed pretty well. At the about the same time, the other "larger" fish developed little white dots on the front of his fins. (The two fins on either side of his body) Now, if this was Ick, the dots would soon cover the entire fish, but no, in 2 weeks we've only seen 3 or so more dots appear, these over his gill cover. So, the situation as it is now: In larger tank, one fairly healthy large fish and tiny fish. In hospital tank, one "dotted" fish which we can't seem to cure. We've tried to use the typical medications such as Sulfa or Furnan-2 but neither of these seemed to work. Anybody have ANY ideas? Both tanks are heated and around 74 degrees, get a fair amount of light (not much growth in tanks, though) and the amonnia levels are VERY low in both tanks. (Less than 1ppm) The only fish seemingly not affected by the move was the tiny fish! He's happy and healthy so far... HELP!!! Jerry pacbell!pbhyf!jdp
