I have said this before and others may disagree....but- If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you have a reason for using carbon, use it. If not, don't use it. I have never found a good reason for continuous use of carbon. It is nice to remove chemicals you put in the tank for specific reasons. As a general filter material, I can find no good reason to use it. Putting it in a UGF uplift tube seems like a waste of time and money to me. John
