Clown loaches (albeit pretty small ones) have been on sale here for $2 ea. Now, just last week, they were in another store for $1.29. At the same time I know a place where you can spend $18 on ones just a little bit smaller. I bought 10 of the small cheap ones. Unfortuneately I left them in the bag overnight and three of them croaked before morning. I wasn't awake when I dumped them into a tank and forgot I was moving them from LA tapwater that the store uses to pure RO water that had probably gone acid by now. I had three left this morning and expect to find two when I get home tonight. pH shock and osmotic shock is a nasty thing. Too bas too, because they are the cutest little buggers you've ever seen, like a flock of little bumblebees. I would get some more and try again, but I'm out of money until I can take the nice man in the fish store some more killifish. It didn't help that today ass I walked in the store he slapped a bag of fish i my face and said ``here, I just got these, I ordered them for you''. Great, I though to myeslf. More goddamn fish I can't afford. Thats why there are credit cards. Wht he had got were 6 ``hi-fin corydoras''. They look like C. aneus, but they have huge billowing sailfins. They're really neat. Rest assured I'll take better care of them than the poor loaches. I have no idea what species thay are, he said they were in the big catfish book, but I didn't have time to look for them today. Oleg has gone skiing for the week, and good thing too. he would have snapped them up before I had a chance. Hey Oleg: Pffffffffft!
