<> I have submitted to net.sources a simple Tektronix 4010 terminal emulator for the Macintosh, call it MacTek. The program DOES use the cross-hairs. It works on the tools I commonly use, but I made no attempt to adapt it to all 4010/4014 plot-10 software. I stressed utility rather than completeness, as it runs slow enough with Microsoft BASIC. The Tektronix mode runs at about 300 baud, it XON/XOFF handshakes, so you can use your 1200 baud modem. From what I here about MacBasic, it could be rewritten to run at 1200 baud, with maybe even a couple more features. And.. with a REAL language like 'C', well.. needless to say, I can hardly wait! A scrolling ALPHA mode exists as well, as that mode is faster for text work, and you don't have to clear the screen all the time. Notice that the basic character I/O routines are from the MacTEP program posted earlier. Lonnie R. Abelbeck AT&T Bell Laboratories aluxe!lra
