[rec.food.recipes] LOBSTER: Chilled Lobster

bloch@informatics.WUstl.EDU (Charlene Bloch Abrams) (08/13/90)

My favourite thing to do with lobster is as follows:

Cook the lobsters in boiling water (either drop them intop already boiling
water or heat up the water with lobsters) until they change colour (from
brown to red).

Chill them in the fridge.

Slice them in half all the way down the back. Wash them out (all the yuckky
looking brown/yellow/slimy stuff should all go) well.

Make a sauce of:

Mayo
ketchup
tobasco (should hardly taste it)

The sauce should be mostly mayo (say 2/3 or so)

Put a big bowl in the center of the table and have plenty of napkins available.
Take your time, lose all eating inhibitions and get at EVERY SCRAP of MEAT
(yes, there's plenty in the head section too, not to mention the legs) and
ENJOY!
