[rec.food.recipes] REQUEST: House Special Chicken

morgan@nosc.mil (Mike Morgan) (02/06/91)

First, I think this group is a great "find". I've already tried the
chili recipe, and it worked great, with only a few embellishments.

Next, I know of this dish at the Panda Inn/Country restaurants(in San
Diego) called House Special Chicken. Its a spicy recipe of boneless
chicken that has been breaded and deep fried coated in a sauce. The
sauce has an orangish-brown color, is sweet, pungent, and hot (red
pepper hot). The closest thing I've had at another Chinese Restaurant
(in Dallas) was called General Tao's Chicken, whose recipe has eluded
me also. Having developed an addiction to the taste of this plate, I
would be forever grateful, my stomach and my wallet, if someone could
post this recipe.

Thanks in advance, and I hope I'll be able to return the favor
sometime.
