Seriously, it's a shame RMS can't think of anything more useful to do with his "considerable talents". -- Alan S. Driscoll AT&T Bell Laboratories

[I know I'll regret this] What is the status of GNU? I left the net for a while just when the call for arms went out and the sabers were just beginning to rattle. Mail please, no followups. Just to seed controversy (sp?), I think that if RMS can produce a worthwhile product I would run it. It would be great to pull down the pants of all the people on the net that think he is an idiot (figuratively speaking, of course). At the same time, if it flops, we all know he will *never* live it down. Conclusion: rather than just complaining about something, he is doing something. Reflection is appropriate. eric -- from the gang down at... 38.37.45 N 90.12.22 W ..!ihnp4!afinitc!{gang|wucs!gang}!eric Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from a rigged demo.
