Someone who works with me often brings this to our potlucks
  Highly recommended

Al's CHEESECAKE

4 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 pkgs cream cheese 
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup amaretto or Kaluah or chocolate liquor

let cream cheese soften at room temperature.

whip cream cheese until smooth.

turn mixer to cream speed.

add eggs, 1 at a time, then add vanilla, liquor, and sugar.

pour into large spring-form pan.

bake at 350 for around 1 hour 25 minutes (until golden brown and
starting to crack on top in middle).

take out & let cool 15 minutes while you make topping.

cake will sink in middle.

TOPPING:

8 oz sour cream
4 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp the same liquor used in cake 

whip sour cream until it looks almost like whipped cream.

turn mixer to cream speed.

add vanilla and liquor.

add cream cheese, then sugars.

spoon onto center of cake and smooth.

bake for 12 more minutes.

take out and cool for 1/2 hour, then REFRIGERATE for 24 hours before cutting.
