[rec.food.recipes] MISC: BBQ Sauce

This is easily the best BBQ sauce I have ever tried. OK, so I'm not
modest...

I originally got it from a friend who says it is a family secret. I
have modified it a little to make it spicier and a little thicker. I
cut back on the Ketchup and substituted the tomato paste. I also upped
the tabasco and added the cayenne pepper. I added the cocoa which
gives it a different taste as well. It is a good basic sauce that can
be varied to suit the meat. As it is, it is great on chicken. Enjoy!

    BBQ Sauce

1 cup Ketchup
1 6oz can of tomato paste
1.5 cup honey
1.5tsp olive oil
2tsp tabasco
1tsp cayenne pepper
1Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1Tbs cocoa powder
1tsp juice of lemon
1.5Tbs Soy Sauce
.5tsp fresh black pepper
1.5Tbs curry powder
1Tbs paprika
2 cloves garlic crushed

Stir everything together and simmer for 20 minutes.

It may seem like a lot of work but it's worth it!
