Adam requests that we bookworms standardize on a name for our proposed newsgroup. I propose (but haven't the facilities to accept votes due to a full file system) that the newsgroup be called net.books. Somehow net.book seems to offend my sense of diction. I grant that it is longer, but not significantly. While net.sf-lovers does cover part of the book realm, it certainly doesn't cover the entire area of interest of net readers, so I don't feel that a lot of duplication is likely. I personally support the creation of net.books. I suspect that two very different groups of users will arise, those being those who read for enjoyment, and those who wish to obtain books/reviews of technical/work related tomes. In time this may lead to a further subdivision of net.books, if the traffic and subject matter warrants. I propose the following subject, once the group is created, and blessed: "Silverlock" by John Myers Myers. I personally am curious as to other readers reactions to this book, and would like to know more about the author, including names/publishers of other books and stories by that author. I view the coming of this newsgroup as inevetable.
