Restriction Enzyme Lists -- A Correction
It has been brought to my attention that I have misrepresented Rich Roberts
work. In fact, his restriction enzyme list comforms to the recommended IUPAC
nucleotide abbreviations and this is the form in which they are periodically
published by Nucleic Acids Research. This list is also available in a
non-standard form that is used by the IG programs, however. Apparently it is
this form that was sent to Roy Smith by Bionet and this is the form that we
are familiar with.
It sure would be nice if we biologists could learn to support just one
standard.
