Dir BIONET members,
I am a Korean biochemistry student at SEOUL National University.
I am very happy to have people to talk about my problem.
I am working on the hydrogenase system in E.coli and Desulfovibrio.
Hydrogenase catalyzes the simple reaction : "2H + 2e- <====> H2"
And electron carrier is involved (eg. cytochrome or NADH).
I isolated the hydrogenase gene and cloned and I'm on sequencing now.
Sequencing is almost finished.
Now I am eager to understand more of the hydrogenase system.
But environment puts limit on me.
All tools that I have are only two PC softwares (PC-Sequence & Mount's).
I hope to search homology in DNA and amino acid data bank and to predict
its secondary structure.
I know the new program called FASTA-MAIL on BIONET.
But I cannot login BIONET because I am on BITNET.
I can only receive and send bboard messages.
Will you please help me?
If you are inclined to help me, tell me please.
Then I'll send you my sequence data by E-mail.
I welcome anyone's advise and help and I'll be very happy.
