[bionet.general] INFORMATION

VISLA%UMDC.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU (08/04/88)

This is a general plea for information -- any help will be appreciated.
Is there a resource from which the following information may be obtained:
The names of investigators who are recipients of NSF, NIH, EPA, etc.
funds for non-classified research.
I have tried National Technical Information Service, NSF, GSA, etc.
without success. Where to look?
Thanks - M.T. MacDonell (VISLA@UMDC)

The NIH publishes a book listing recipients of research grants by fiscal year.
The latest year available (I believe) is for FY 1986. The address on the back
of the book is: US Department of Health & Human Services, Public Health
Service, National Institutes of Health, Bldg W B, Room 449, Bethesda, MD 20892.
The book is NIH publication No. 87-1042. I am not sure about the other
agencies.

Hope this helps.

Please send me information concerning BIONEWS. I am interested in
genetics programs, bulletin boards, and the GeneBank database.
