It has recently come to my attention that a new list called
CLASS-L has become available on BITNET, and is subscribed to by
quite a few "top names" in the field of biometrics. Here is a
brief outline of the objectives of the list.
Classification, clustering, and phylogeny estimation

The purpose of this list is to enable researchers in classification,
clustering, phylogeny estimation, and related methods of data
analysis to contact other researchers in that area. The list is
not limited to members of particular professional societies.
So if you have interest in numerical taxonomy then you can become
a member of this list by sending an interactive message at the
