*************************************************************************** SKMB-course on MOLECULAR GENETICS OF YEAST August 21 - September 1 Biozentrum Basel Organized by P. Linder, M. Hall and J. Gafner The course will consist of both molecular and classical genetics of S. cerevisiae and S.pombe. The practical part will include experiments like Transformation with different types of plasmids, Gene replacement, Southern analysis, Mitochondrial Genetics, Dissection and Tetrad Analysis, Separation of Chromosomes by Gel Electrophoresis, Immunofluorescence Microscopy, Mating Type Switch, Selection of uracil deficient strains using 5-FOA.
