The cause of the problems we have experienced over the past two days on these two bulletin boards have now been identified and measures taken to avoid a similar occurence in future. The problem involved an interaction between computers with full disk quotas, lists which should have been removed and mail servers re-sending error messages. A combination of effects led to at least 180 error messages being generated and problems speading from YEAST to METHODS. In fact, YEAST is a moribund list and should not be used.
