The FASTA-MAIL server for nucleic acid and protein sequence similarity searches is continuing to run under the auspices of GenBank. All access restrictions have been removed, i.e., it is available to anyone with e-mail access to our machine. Information about its use can be obtained by sending a message with the word HELP in the body of the message to the address search@genbank.bio.net. Some new features have been added to the server so I would suggest that previous users of BIONET's server obtain a copy of the new help file before submitting any new searches.
