Subject: New Local Distribution Lists at IRLEARN
To: "(no name)" <Incoming-BIONEWS@UK.AC.DARESBURY>

Re-organization of the local distribution lists for the BIOSCI
Bulletin Boards at IRLEARN has been completed. New lists have
a "+" character in the list name where a "$" character was used
in the old list name.

The old lists will be removed when they have fallen completely
into disuse. Subscribers are asked NOT to cancel their subscription
to the to the old lists, as such a request will actually have effect
on the NEW list.

I should like to apologize for a problem which occurred during the
re-organization, and which caused inconvenience and confusion to a
few users. The new local distribution lists were inadvertently
locked during the procedure, so that subscription to and signoff from
these lists was inhibited. This has now been put right.

Apologies and Best Regards,
Niall O'Reilly
