[bionet.general] Response to several postings

I'll have Eliot Lear, our USENET guru here, contact you about your
problem using the "bionet" distribution.

Re the "ownership" of these groups mentioned in another posting: all
we do at GenBank is maintain these groups for the community, not
impose our will on the users.  The bionet groups are part of our
collaboration with our other BIOSCI partners.  If a problem exists
with the groups that people bring to our attention, we will do our best
to rectify it.

Re the header on the bionet.molbio.genbank.updates group: this will be
changed soon to include the information on the DEFINITION line as per
earlier discussion.  To keep the info in the right channels,
discussion of GenBank issues should really be done on GENBANK-BB
(bionet.molbio.genbank), not on BIONEWS please.
