RE: OREGON BIOTECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION OBA is a non-profit corporation
to promote the continued growth of biotech in Oregon. Membership in OBA
provides an opportunity to enhance your involvement in and understanding
of the biotech industry in Oregon and to contribute toward its growth.

WHAT OBA WILL DO FOR YOU:  1) NETWORKING - Help you meet others in the
biotech community to share information and experiences and to cultivate
new contacts and relationships.

2) BIOTECHNOLOGY EVENTS - Provide and sponsor speaker programs, events,
workshops and meetings which deal with such matters as the science of
biotech, regulatory affairs, commercialization of biotechnology, human
resources, intellectual property, etc.

3) LOCAL,STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATION AND REGULATION - Monitor
legislation or regulations related to biotech, as well as business
issues pertinent to biotech companies. Keep you informed on legislation
and regulations that might affect you. Brief local, state and federal
legislators and regulators on biotechnology issues. Act as a strong
advocate for Oregon biotech interests.

If biotechnology is to prosper in Oregon it is going to need your support
and that of other interested people. OBA's first general membership
meetings will be on October 4 and 5, 1990.
