[net.news.group] SF-Lovers Problem

sjb (12/04/82)

I think I have found the problem. sri-unix seems to e
gatewaying the SF-LOVERS digest into net.sf-lovers, and
ucbvax seems to be gatewaying it into fa.sf-lovers,
hence we are getting the same digests in both groups!
What is going on?

Any interest (or possibility?) of setting up a SPACE at MC
<--> net.space type like gateway with SF-Lovers?  i.e.
SF-Lovers digests would be split up on our end and submitted
as single letters to net.sf-lovers while our articles would
be bundled up and sent to the digest. With the current
sizes (HUGE) of the digests, I would much rather read
individual articles than have to skip over 600 unwanted
lines of text

I gatewayed sf-lovers with net.sf-lovers a week or so ago. There's no point
in having them separate when they can be combined and there is no difference
in the discussion topics as was not the case with net.columbia and space@mc.

Berkeley should probably unplug fa.sf-lovers permanently.

I hesitate on this one because everything will get remailed back to
sf-lovers and will have to be manually deleted. Does the space
moderator somehow avoid getting back copies of the individual messages
that are relayed from space@mc to inews? If so, how?
