        ----------------------------------------------------------

Anonymous ftp for DNA/protein databases is now available at the

host name: flat.nig.ac.jp IP address: 133.39.128.2

in Japan. Available databases include

        DNA databases:
                GenBank
                EMBL
                DDBJ

        Protein Databases:
                NBRF, PIR
                SwissProt
                GenBank Gene Products

This host is connected to the Internet and therefore can be "ftp"ed from
any site on the Internet in the world but would be useful specifically
for Internet sites in Japan and other asian countries.
