*** ANNOUNCEMENT *** ANNOUNCEMENT *** ANNOUNCEMENT *** CCP11 WORKSHOP ON MULTIPLE SEQUENCE ALIGNMENT METHODS Thursday 24th January 1990 An informal seminar and workshop session for developers of multiple sequence alignment software will be held at The National Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill, London, under the auspices of the newly formed Collaborative Computing Project in Biosequence and Structure Analysis (CCP11). The meeting will essentially be an opportunity for developers of multiple sequence software (and related applications) to get together and discuss current developments in the field. Due to the limited number of places available, the meeting must unfortunately be limited to developers, rather than users, though it is hoped that user workshops will be arranged at some time in the future. The meeting will begin at 10.30am and finish at 4.30pm. The program will consist of short talks by invited speakers (including W.R. Taylor, P. Argos, G. Barton, M. Johnson, D. Jones), together with periods for discussion. There will also be an opportunity for developers to give a 'hands-on' demonstration of their software. A charge of 3.50 will be made to cover the costs of a buffet lunch. APPLICATIONS If you are involved in the development of multiple sequence alignment technology and would like to attend the meeting, then please complete the following form and return it to the following address (E-mail or Postal replies are equally acceptable). EMAIL: c_orengo@uk.ac.mrc.nimr or POST: Dr C. A. Orengo, Laboratory of Mathematical Biology, National Institute for Medical Research, The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, London NW7 1AA, ENGLAND.
