GENMLM@yalevm.bitnet (Martin Mador) (01/06/91)
The Yale Center for Medical Informatics offers a postdoctoral research fellowship at the intersection of molecular biology and computer science, sponsored by the National Library of Medicine. Projects include parallelization of biological algorithms (e.g., sequence analysis, genetic linkage analysis, molecular dynamics), an "intelligent" object-oriented database for physical gene mapping data, and computer modeling of gene regulation. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in an area of biology/molecular biology, considerable computer experience, and a desire to pursue a research career in biological informatics. Position available July 1, 1991. Contact Prof. Perry Miller, Yale Center for Medical Informatics, c/o Dept. of Anesthesiology, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT 06510 (203-785-2802, pmiller@yalemed.bitnet), or Prof. Kenneth K.
