Well, I've gotten several nice responses on the Wall bootlegs. I really appreciate it! Now to set the record straight for some of you who have some mis-information about the group. First, it was David Gilmour that tought Syd Barrett his early guitar licks back when they were in school together. This is the reason that Gilmour fit into the band so well when Syd 'departed'. Also, someone mentioned that 'The Dark Side of the Moo' was merely a bootlg of early cuts used later for 'Atom Heart Mother'. This is wrong. Even though the covers are >similar<, they are not the same. Here is a list of songs off the album. Notes on the songs follow the listings: Side A (titled 'This Side') Side B (titled 'Udder Side') Astronomy Domine *1 Heartbeat, Pig Meat *2 Candy & A Currant Bun *3 Crumbling Land *2 Apples & Oranges *3 Embryo *4 It Would Be So Nice *3 Point Me At the Sky *3 Interstellar Overdrive *5 Come In, Number 51, Your Scream Thy Last Scream *6 Time is Up *2 Madamoiselle Knobs *6 *1- From the 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' album *2- From the soundtrack 'Zabriskie Point' *3- From the A or B side of a released single *4- From the Harvest sampler album 'Picnic' *5- From the Soundtrack 'Tonite Let's All Make Love in London' *6- An Out-take Also, somebody asked if I meant 'A Great Set', instead of 'A Great Mix'. Yes I did, my mistake. Also I erred. It was taken May 9th, 1977, at the Oakland Col., not May 6th, as I reported before. It was a concert promoting 'Animals' and 'Wish You Were Here'. Other bootlegs containing stuff from this tour are: 'California Stockyard', recorded May 6th, 1977, Anahiem Stadium. 'Great Barn Dance', recorded March 15th, 1977, Wembly England. '30 KW PA', recorded March 15th,1977, Wembly England (Japanese Bootleg) Oh, also, 'The Dark Side of the Moo' is on 'Trixie Albums' label. The album 'A Great Set' is on 'Night Flight' albums. It is also, if I didn't mention it before, a 3-album set. It has the name 'The Screaming Abdabs' on the front and nothing on the ablum labels. 'DSO Moo' has 'Pink Floyd' on the front and 'The Abdabs' on the album label. (The Abdabs, for those who don't know, was the original name of the nucleus of Pink Floyd. It consisted of :Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Rick Wright, Clive Metcalf, Keith Noble, and Juliette Gale (who later married Rick Wright), They started as 'Sigma 6' and porgressed to 'T-Set', 'The Meggadeaths', and finally, 'The Abdabs'.) Wel, that's all the time I have for tonight, so until next time... 'I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon'! Ronald C. Rosul Jr. (vc253ah)
