To worldwide biochemists, I'm not sure if this is a better forum to ask this, but I think it can be worth trying it. We would like to design a Biochemistry Curriculum. Schools of Biochemistry or Biotechnology don't exist in Spain yet (Spanish Biochemists have usually degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Medicine and the like), so we would like to know a few foreign tipical Biochemistry or Biotechnology curricula in order to contrast ideas. Probably the kind of informative booklets sometimes given to students would be enough (those containing the name and overal description of both compulsive and optional subjects necessary to get a Degree in Biochemistry). We are aware that the longest experience in Biochemistry Degrees is mostly in anglo-saxon contries, and would welcome information from there, but some advice from latin countries would be as well very appreciate (all in all, our academic system is more closely related to the later than to the former). Please, to those who can find easyly the requested information from their respective universities or Biochemistry departments, send it to Dr. Ricardo S. Carmenes, Departamento de Biologia Funcional, Area de Bioquimica y Biologia Molecular, Universidad de Oviedo, 33071-Oviedo, Spain. Email carmenes@dwarf0.quimica.uniovi.es or CMSMD11@EOVUOV11.BITNET.
