I am outraged that Mr. Roehl can so easily throw away a year of my work by
spreading the misinformed lie that Tandy doesn't make the Model 2000.  I
spent two months at a Tandy factory (after ten months of intensive design 
and debug) in Fort Worth teaching them about the machine so that they could 
build it here in Texas. The 2000 was *entirely* designed and built by Tandy.  

I once read that one man speaks a falsehood and one hundred men repeat it 
as true.

My apologies to jsf; it was my (mis) understanding that the 2000
was designed *for* Tandy, not *by* Tandy.  I have since doublechecked,
and it was the Model 100 (not the 2000) that was done by another firm
and marketed by Radio Shack.  Jsf is quite correct in saying that the
2000 was done in-house; it's worth repeating (again) that the 2000 is
a fine product.
