I am considering buying a ProModem 1200 - all I've seen are ads and it looks pretty good. Remembering the discussion of the Anchor modems which couldn't generate a <BREAK>, does anyone know if the Promodem 1200 has similar problems? Any other experiences with the Promodem would also be appreciated! I also remember some discussion of people wanting a modem which could turn on the computer upon a call - is this yet available or practical? My plans are to use the modem for auto answer, remote control operation from my office and other sites. Thanks for any help.
