We are looking for a program for the Apple Macintosh that enables us to draw plasmid maps including restriction sites, genes, transcription, etc. We tried PlasmidDraw,MacDraw, CricketDraw, DNA-Inspector IIe, MacGene and DNA-Strider but none of these satisfied our needs. What all these programs are missing is the possibility to emphasize certain parts of the sequence by drawing bold segments or by drawing linear maps of these regions. Has anyone seen a program for such purposes?
