Pioneer Endowed Professorship 



Iowa State University seeks a plant molecular biologist to
conduct research in the molecular biology of maize.  Possible
areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the genetics,
biochemistry, and physiology of maize.  The individual will
interact with internationally respected maize geneticists and
breeders, will work in state-of-the-art facilities, and will
have access to a large collection of superior quality
germplasm and genetic stocks.  The individual's research
program will receive generous start-up funds and annual
income from a $1 million endowment.  The academic level of
appointment will depend on the qualifications of the
successful candidate.  The department affiliation(s) and
teaching responsibilities will be determined by the interest
and expertise of the individual and the needs of the
university.
