BIONET APPLICATION PROGRAMMER
We are looking for an individual interested in computer applications
to the analysis of genetic information. We offer biological expertise
and an opportunity of interaction with both the scientific and
industrial environments.
Responsibilities include :(1) Development of new software for sequence
analysis under the direct instruction of BIONET scientists; (2)
Modification of the software donated by research institutions to make
it available for the BIONET community; (3) Creation of a
system-independent user interface for the research community.
Extensive experience in C, FORTRAN and the UNIX operating system is
required. Knowledge of VAX/VMS and biological experience are a plus.
Salary commensurable with experience. This position is funded by the
BIONET grant from the NIH.
