			POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS

These are NIH and privately funded positions to work in the
following areas:

	1.  Structure-function studies using directed mutagenesis and
	expression in yeast and E. coli to probe thrombin's various
	functional domains.

	2.  Use of synthetic DNA and protein engineering to design
	heterofunctional, self-targeting proteins.

	3.  Structure-function studies of interleukin-6 using novel
	oligonucleotide directed mutagenesis techniques to characterize
	the physiological functions of this important growth and regulatory
	factor.

	ABI DNA and peptide synthesizer, HPLCs, Evans and Sutherland PS390	
	molecular graphics etc are available in our lab.
