YEAST MOLECULAR BIOLOGY - POSTDOCTORAL POSITI0N AVAILABLE

A three year postdoctoral research assistantship is available to work with
Dr Jim Murray in the area of yeast molecular biology, funded by SERC.
The project involves analysis of copy number control mechanisms of the
yeast 2um plasmid, and their relationship to plasmid gene expression.
The level of gene expression can be compared at different plasmid copy number
levels to establish the network of regulation. The project follows on from
the work described in Murray et al (1987) EMBO Journal Vol.6, 4205-4212.

Experience in molecular biology or yeast genetics would be an advantage.
Salary range 10,460-11,680 pounds. Earliest starting date is April 1989,
but later can be arranged. Please send applications, with a cv and a
description of research experience before 28th February to
