Applications are invited for an MRC Research Studentship tenable for 3 years, commencing Octiber 1989, to work towards a Ph.D. degree with Dr. M.J.C.Crabbe on novel antibiotic and anti-viral compounds. The project will focus on molecular enzymology and molecular modelling of biosynthetic intermediates and enzymes. There will be ample opportunity for interactions with other research groups in the University of Reading. Candidates should have, or expect to obtain, a first or upper second class honours degree in the biochemical- or chemical- related sciences.
