I am a Post-doc currently on a one year contract studying the heterotrophic
bacterial degradation of stonework on ancient monuments. The research is
principally focussed on microbial activity
Due to my better half moving to a post in Birmingham as a quality
assurance/ analytical chemist I am seeking employment in the Midlands area
( Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick, Nottingham etc). I have a wide range of
experience in environmental microbiology, water microbiology and some
experience of pharmaceutical microbiology/ microbial assay techniques.
Unfortunately I have no hands on experience of molecular/ genetic
techniques but would be prepared to learn.
I would be prepared to take up short term work e.g end of contracts if no
longer term prospects are available.
