ASSISTANT RESEARCH PROFESSOR ============================================================= The Waksman Institute at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a molecular geneticist with a Ph.D degree to supervise a project whose aim is the sequencing of the Drosophila genome. This is a non-tenure track position. The candidate should have three or more years of postdoctoral experience and be familiar with the basic techniques of recombinant DNA technology. Laboratory experience with Drosophila and in situ hybridization to polytene chromosomes, as well as a familiarity with heterochromatin are additional desirable qualifications. The position will include super- visory work, overseeing one or more laboratory assistants.
