ONTARIO CANCER INSTITUTE MOLECULAR AND STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY SENIOR SCIENTIST POSITIONS The Ontario Cancer Institute is one of North America's largest cancer research and treatment centers and houses the Department of Medical Biophysics of the University of Toronto. The Institute invites applications for senior scientist positions in its newly formed Molecular and Structural Biology group. Current programs in this group include: electron microscopy of macromolecules, DNA- protein interactions, membrane transport and drug resistance, and the structure-function relationship of biologically active polypeptides. To complement this group, up to four candidates are sought with state-of-the-art expertise in areas of research that include NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, protein engineering, theoretical molecular modelling, or other biophysical techniques. New members should be eligible for appointment at the assistant or associate professor level in the Department of Medical Biophysics of the University of Toronto, a graduate department that emphasizes strong multidiciplinary research. Preference will be given to individuals with research interests in fields such as: the structural aspects of molecular recognition, receptor-ligand interactions, the structure of molecules of the immune system or in molecular design aimed at cancer therapy. In accordance with Canadian Immigration requirements, priority in the first instance will be given to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants. In accordance with the Employment Equity Policy of the University of Toronto and the Ontario Cancer Institute, applications are invited from all qualified women and men.
