POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN MOLECULAR ANALYSIS OF INSECT POPULATIONS The United States Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service seeks to promote development of scientific expertise in support of its mission through this Fellowship Program. This position is at the APHIS, Science and Technology, Otis Methods Development Center on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and involves development of modern, rapid and accurate methods for identification of insects using genetic markers. The program will evaluate mitochondrial DNA sequence differences among geographically separated, conspecific populations. Initial studies may include gypsy moth and tropical fruit flies. The position, which is available immediately, includes a salary range of $24,705 to $42,601, technical help, and space in a fully equipped laboratory already involved in molecular biology.
