CONTROL SYSTEMS ACADEMIC POSITION
MONASH UNIVERSITY MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA
Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Eng.

An academic position in the control systems and related areas is likely
to be available for a period of one to three years starting in early
1991. The position involves teaching undergraduate and possibly
postgraduate courses in control systems and other areas in elec. eng.,
and research in related fields. A three year appointment is
preferred.

The Dept. has three chairs, one in the area of computer vision/robotics,
one in communications (supported by Telecom Aust.) and power (supported
by the State Electricity Commission Victoria). The Dept. also has support
from GIRD scheme in the first two areas (about $3 million over 3 years).
The GIRD scheme research is closely linked to and supported by
Australian and international industry.
