MOLECULAR/CELLULAR NEUROBIOLOGY


	A post-doctoral position is available for a scientist with previous
experience of molecular biological and/or cell culture techniques.   The
successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team investigating the
regulation of neuropeptide gene expression in the nervous system, with
special emphasis on the role of nerve growth factor.   A variety of model
systems are employed, including primary neuronal cell cultures, cell lines
transfected with reporter plasmids, in vitro studies of the interaction of
transcription factors with neuronal regulatory elements, and transgenic
mice.

	The post will be for a term of three years with a possible extension
to five years;  salary will be at an appropriate point on the MRC non-
clinical scientific scale Grade 2.   Informal enquiries may be directed to
