Position: Research Assistant Location: Department of Plant Pathology University of Arkansas Fayetteville, AR 72701 Description: Explorative research will be conducted on the biological control of sudden death syndrome of soybean (SDS). Research will focus on the development of techniques to identify and characterize soils suppressive to SDS and involve field field, greenhouse, and laboratory work. Emphasis will be place on fungal antagonists to the pathogen, Fusarium solani. Qualifications: Applicants must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in plant pathology or a related field. Experience in biological control, mycology, or microbiology is preferred. Salary: Commensurate with experience. Availability: May 15, 1991, or until a qualified applicant is identified.
