We have tried to get Genbank sequence with accession number M29828 from genbank.bio.net. We looked through the 2 latest files but could not find it. Can anyone help us locate it? Sincerely, Mats Sundvall

The sequence M29828 is now (since 6:30 PST this morning) available in the GenBank New Data database on the GenBank On-Line Service and through the GenBank entry server. It has also been posted to EMBL for the EMBL file server and, if it isn't already available there, should appear momentarily. To retreive a database entry from the GenBank entry server, simply send a mail message containing *only* the entry (locus) name or accession number (not both) to the Internet address: RETRIEVE@GENBANK.BIO.NET The corresponding entry will be returned to you by e-mail. The databases currently available through the entry server are: GenBank, EMBL (nucleotide sequences), GenBank New Data, EMBL New Data (these two are updated daily), and Swiss-Prot. Swiss-Prot New Data (translations of GenBank New Data entries) will be available later this month. Sincerely, David Benton GenBank Manager 415-962-7360 benton@genbank.ig.com
