Hi, I am in need of a sequence that I can not seem to find. It is not in our current version of GenBank and we do not have a complete set of GenBank updates. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out?? The sequence is the complete genomic sequence of feline immunodeficiency virus. GenBank accession number is M25381. If anyone can help me out, please mail the sequence to me at the following address: karyn@surf.sics.bu.oz.au Thanks in advance, Karyn Davis.

Dear Davis: You can retrieve sequences as following: 1. send an e-mail to retrieve@genbank.bio.net 2. no subject 3. keyin " get Mxxxx" at the first line of this e-mail 4. after a while, your will get the sequence you want. Hope this helpful. Sincerely, System Manager Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica Nankang Taipei, 11529 Taiwan R.O.C.

Almost! In step 3 just put the locus name or the accession number on a line by itself. "get" should not be used. -- Sincerely, Dave Kristofferson GenBank Manager kristoff@genbank.bio.net
