                 AUTHORIN Available on the Macintosh

We're pleased to announce that the first copies of the AUTHORIN program
for the Macintosh were shipped today.  AUTHORIN is a program designed to
assist scientists in preparing their data for submission to the sequence
data banks.  The program is distributed free of charge and is now 
available for both IBM PC compatible and Macintosh microcomputers.

Special recognition is due the members of the AUTHORIN project team for their
hard work and dedication over the past few months.  Many thanks to John
Rice and Steve Barnhouse for their programming efforts, Kate Yudin,
Karen Shostak and Cindy Cohen for the Authorin documentation, Rhonda 
Hofmann, Tania Broveak and Lisa Schaechter for quality assurance, 
Dave Benton, Michael Cinkosky and Gifford Keen for technical 
support, Yuki Abe and MaryJo Faulkner administrative assistance.
