There are several new files on the Gene-Server:
1. The 1/21/91 GenBank updates are now added to the server.
2. Tom Schneider's SeqLogo files have been packed for the Mac and are
available as "seqlogo1.hqx", "seqlogo2.hqx", "seqlogo3.hqx", and
"seqlogo4.hqx", in the Mac directory ("send mac seqlogo1.hqx",
etc).
3. The Seqf suite of library search programs are available from the
server in the Unix section and also in the anonymous FTP area of
menudo.uh.edu, 129.7.1.6.
4. "mmstax.hqx" in the Mac section has been replaced by "mandm.hqx" and
"mandm.readme".
5. "molgenjr.hqx" is no longer available. (Mac section).
Notes:
1. There have been numerous comments by folks that their nameserver
doesn't have an entry for "bchs.uh.edu". Right. It's a mail
domain. So you can't FTP to it! Use menudo.uh.edu, 129.7.1.6.
2. The Seqf and seqlogo*.hqx files will be sent to the EMBL File
Server later this weekend.
