A WORKSHOP ON DESKTOP MOLECULAR VISUALIZATION

'an exploration of the role of personal computers in
molecular modeling and graphics'

sponsored by the Molecular Graphics Society of the Americas

The limits of molecular modeling, graphics, presentation, and
molecular biology visualization on personal computers (i.e.
IBM PC's, Apple Macintosh, and the NeXT machine) will be explored.The workshop will include invited speakers as well as contributed
talks, posters, and vendor displays.  Workshop proceedings and
demo software will be distributed.

when: Aug. 23-25,1990 (right before the ACS meeting...)
where: Holiday Inn, Bethesda, MD. 
Registration Fee: $100 nonprofit, $150 commercial organizations

General Meeting of the Molecular Graphics Society of the Americas

The first annual general meeting of the Molecular Graphics Society of
the Americas will be held on Friday August 24 at 5:00 p.m. at the
Holiday Inn Bethesda 8120 Wisconsin Ave. , Bethesda, Md.  20814.

The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Workshop on Desktop
Molecular Visualization sponsored by the MGSoA.  The business meeting
will have the following agenda:

1. Protem Chairman's report
2. Protem Secretary'y report
3. Protem Treasurer's Report
4. Approval of Bylaws
5. Nomination of Officers and Committee Members
6. Discussion of Future Activities
7. Discussion of Publicity and future expansion
